Get Spooked With Ghost Tales

Halloween is creeping up and will be here before you know it. So why not start getting into the spirit now? Colonel Davenport Historical Foundation will be celebrating all that is spooky, with “Ghost Tales” this Saturday Sep 28 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., with scary stories told by local storytellers on the grounds of the Colonel Davenport House on Arsenal Island (Davenport Avenue Rock Island). Admission for this event is $6 for adults, $4 for seniors and free for children 12 and younger and active military. Public Tours of Quarters One on Rock Island Arsenal This Weekend!

The Colonel Davenport Historical Foundation opens the historic Quarters One mansion to the public for guided tours this weekend! Tours of Quarters One will take place on Sunday July 28. The tours will begin at 12 p.m. and continue starting every half hour until the last tour at 4 p.m. The tour costs $10 per person. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Active military can attend for free, but must still register. Tour size will be limited. It’s recommended that tickets be purchased in advance. Tickets can be purchased online.
