Augustana College invites the community to Chill on the Hill at the new Anderson Pavilion on campus, this Sunday Sep 8. The free event will feature food trucks and local bands at the Ruth and Lefty Anderson Pavilion, 3750 7th Ave., Rock Island. The pavilion is just south of the Brunner Theater Center, and the most convenient parking is in the Centennial Hall lot across 7th Avenue. Visitors should bring a blanket or lawn chairs. Local students get the chance to play with the Navy Band

The United States Navy Concert Band, which has been entertaining audiences and supporting the Navy with some of the best musicians in the country, played to a full house at Augustana College’s Centennial Hall this weekend. The band has played for a Quad-Cities audience many times, and the college was glad to once again host them for an energetic and high-level performance.
