Iowa's Rhythm City Casino Raises $32,500 for Birdies for Charity

Rhythm City is pleased to present another successful Donate & Play Promotion, this time for Birdies for Charity! Thanks to the efforts of every guest who donated, we were able to raise an incredible $32,500 in July of 2022 for Birdie’s for Charity. Birdies for Charity has operated since 1993, giving 100% of donations raised directly to local charities while John Deere covers all administrative costs. Smart Lexus of Quad Cities Donates 2-Year Lease to a Lucky Winner, Birdies For Charity Raises Over $12 Million

Despite the PGA Tour 2020 John Deere Classic being canceled this summer due to Covid concerns, it helped raise $12.22 million for 465 local and regional charities, through the annual Birdies for Charity program. Tournament officials Friday also announced that each participating charity will receive a 5-percent bonus in addition to the money raised through the Birdies for Charity program. This year, because of Covid-19 protocols, all checks will be mailed to participating charities. John Deere Classic Cancellation A Devastating Economic Loss To Quad-Cities

The cornucopia of closures due to coronavirus keeps growing, as what was planned to be the 50th PGA Tour event in the Quad-Cities, the John Deere Classic, is canceled this July. Because of the continuing Covid-19 restrictions around events and public gatherings in the surrounding area, the 2020 JDC at TPC Deere Run in Silvis was canceled, tournament officials announced Thursday. The tournament will, however, continue its commitment to the 2020 Birdies for Charity campaign, including a promise to deliver at least a 5-percent bonus to all participating organizations. Thanks to generous fall grant support from the Regional Development Authority and The Hubbell-Waterman Foundation, as well as record-breaking proceeds from their 2018 Birdies for Charity campaign and Second Chance clothing sale in November, Dress for Success Quad Cities announces that they have surpassed the $1 Million milestone in total dollars raised to date.
