The Bettendorf Rotary is in their final 10 days of their second annual Blanket Drive for the homeless and less fortunate. To-date, they have received over 2000 blankets with a goal of 3000. With the weather turning cold so early, blankets are needed more than ever. Last Weekend To Help Bettendorf Rotary Collect 800 Blankets For People In Need

Bettendorf Rotary members are determined to reach their goal of 800 blankets for their Acre of Warmth promotion! The event will end on Monday, November 1 and they still need 200 blankets to cover an acre. One couple from Davenport, Nancy and Neil Russell, made 95 hand-made quilts to donate to the drive. Bettendorf Rotary Helping The Homeless With Acre Of Warmth Project

The Bettendorf Rotary is determined to make sure every homeless person in the Quad Cities has a blanket this winter. According to the nonprofit shelters in our area, blankets are the number one requested item. The Acre of Warmth project will run through the month of October. Bettendorf Rotarians are asking for gently used and clean or new blankets to be donated. The size that is most requested is twin but all sizes are welcome.
