The Bettendorf Public Library is again hosting its monthly Craft-Tea events. The open house style program provides an opportunity for fellowship and crafting alongside a helping of tea. Crafters ages 16 and up are invited to bring their works-in-progress to the program for dedicated work time. Participants are also welcome to use the Library’s colored pencils, paper, and other crafting supplies available to start something new. Complimentary tea and water will be available. Bettendorf Public Library to host Putnam Museum presentation on the history of quilting

The Bettendorf Public Library will host a virtual edition of their monthly Community Connections series on Thursday, March 24th at 7:00 PM. The live lecture titled, “Stitches Through Time – History of Quilting” will be presented by the Putnam Museum. The free event will be accessible through GoToMeeting. The Bettendorf Public Library was awarded $5,000 in a grant from the State Library of Iowa from American Rescue Plan Act funds. The grant went towards expanding the Library’s digital collection of books and audiobooks that were specifically designed to support psychology, professional development, personal finance, wellness, and more.
