Grace McCubbin is an advocate, speaker, and business owner here in the Quad Cities. She and I sat down and discussed her recent TEDx talk in Davenport, Iowa which was focused on her son’s (16 years old at the time) cardiac arrest back in February. We also discussed how she ended up on the TEDx stage sharing that story. Following that, we discussed her experience developing trauma induced OCD, being a child of an alcoholic, imposter syndrome, authenticity, and advocating for yourself medically.
