Someone Deserves An Oscar For Beer And Bacon FestBeer and Bacon. What could be a better combination? On Friday, February 3, RiverCenter is hosting their annual Bacon and Beer Festival, also known as the “Pigskin Classic”. This anticipated event will host some of the region’s top eateries and specialty craft brews together for the “ultimate culinary match made in hog heaven.” Tickets are available for purchase at: http://www1.ticketmaster.com/event/06005171A919868B. A portion of the ticket sales will go towards Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley. VIP tickets are priced at $50 and the General Admission tickets are priced at $25, both not including fees. The Beer and Bacon Festival will be held at 136 E 3rd St. in Davenport at the RiverCenter’s Great Hall.

This event will include over 10 bacon vendors, a bacon eating contest, live entertainment, pig-skin inspired pub games, and over 100 beer varieties. Ages 21 and older are welcome. The VIP Session begins at 6:00 p.m. and the General Admission Session begins at 7:00 p.m. This year, in honor of the Super Bowl, patrons will be able to compete in football themed games that include a variety of porky “Pigskin Classic” prizes.
