Looking For Some Fun For Your Little Artist?Do you have a little artist at home? Do you find their creativity flows when engaged in drawing or painting? How would you like to help them expand their knowledge and confidence?

Aimee Ford, with AF Studio, is now offering one-on-one children’s art classes! AF Studio is located at 421 19th Street, in The LeClaire Building downtown Moline.

Aimee opened the doors to AF Studio in December of 2016, filling it with her oil paintings, acrylics, watercolors, graphite work and more.  Before this, she worked from her in-home studio. She was busting at the seams with art, so she had to make the break and get a separate space. She has recently decided to teach her craft to the kids of the community!

The current classes she offers are:

“Lil Pugcasso”

Ages 5-9 $30 an hour for 1 to 2 hours or

“Wild Warholians”

Ages 10 – 14 $40 an hour for 1 to 5 hours of time

Classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The best way to schedule a class with her is by texting (309) 912-5989. You can also visit her Facebook page for updates and information at https://www.facebook.com/artistaimeeford/.

Each class is one-on-one with Ford, so there is never any competition, judgement or shyness due to other kids being around. Aimee is a natural with the kids and gets them to let out their creativity! Some sit quietly, some sing, some talk, but all get the art out!

Each student will leave with a finished piece (usually). Children who do a few hours of class will have multiple pieces or a giant piece, Aimee likes big art! She teaches most mediums on a variety of surfaces.

The fundamentals of art, art history and theories are taught, all while the kids think they are just having a fun paint day!

Ford took private one-on-one art lessons as a child, on a farm outside of her hometown of Clinton, Iowa. She has always remembered those classes fondly, so she decided to return the favor to kids here in the QCA. The kids love her studio! The brightness, the big windows facing the street, a tall desk to paint at, the many pieces of art to admire, a big kitchen to wash up in and of course the vending machine in the lobby!

Give your child the gift of inspiration today, and schedule a one-of-a-kind art class with Aimee Ford!
