Given that 2020 is certainly a year for the history books, it’s no surprise that the 23rd annual Frieze Lecture Series for the Rock Island Public Library takes a deeper look at our reaction to global pandemics, past and present. MWC Press Releases Debut Novel by X.H. Collins During Livestream Event Today

Flowing Water, Falling Flowers by Xixuan Collins, a new tome from Midwest Writing Center Press + Xixuan Collins, will be released during a livestream from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight on Zoom and Facebook Live. The event is free. Local book fans are invited to join MWC  for the release of Xixuan Collins’s debut novel, Falling Water, Falling Flowers. Thanks to the partnership of the Davenport Public Library, River Music Experience, and St. Ambrose University, QC Beats was created to showcase original music from Quad City musicians. Building a collection of featured local artists will expand the reach of our vibrant creative community by elevating musicians and connecting them with the larger community.
