Honor Loved Ones With Quad City Storm's Paint The Ice

Tuesday January 28th the TaxSlayer Center will be open to the public from 10 AM – 7 PM for the Storm’s Hockey Fights Cancer Ice Painting.  Quad Citizens are encouraged to come to the arena to paint the names of loved ones who have fought cancer on the ice in the color that symbolizes the cancer they fought.  Painting is free and the Storm will be providing paint, brushes and everything needed for painting names on the ice. Storm and RIA, With The Help Of Ninja Turtles, Help Honor Flight

Yesterday the Storm and RIA Federal Credit Union presented a check in the amount of $4525 to Honor Flight of The Quad Cities.  The money was raised through the Storm’s Nickelodeon Night game on December 27th and a game worn Ninja Turtle jersey auction, both of which were sponsored by RIA Federal Credit Union. The donation brought the Storm’s 2019-2020 season giveback total to over $45,000!  The Storm return to action Friday and Saturday to take on the Peoria Rivermen in the #ColdWarOn74.  Tickets can be purchased online at QuadCityStorm.com.  Read More

Storm forward Connor Fries has been named the SPHL’s Warrior ‘Player Of The Week.’  It is the first player of the week honor for a Storm player in franchise history.  Per the SPHL: “The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced that Connor Fries of the Quad City Storm was named the Warrior Hockey/SPHL Player of the Week for December 30-January 5. The Stanley Cup is coming to the Quad-Cities! The Stanley Cup returns to the Quad Cities for the first time in four years as the Storm celebrate Radar’s 1st birthday Friday December 20th at 7:00 P.M.The TaxSlayer Center doors will open to the general public at 6:00 P.M. and the Stanley Cup will remain on display on the arena concourse until the start of the third period. The Quad City Storm and John Deere certainly have given United Way of the Quad Cities something to be thankful for this holiday season. The two paired up for John Deere night at a recent Storm game, Nov. 22, during which players wore custom John Deere jerseys that were auctioned off after the game. In total, the Storm and John Deere ended up raising $12,500 for United Way of the Quad Cities, making for a great Thanksgiving for all involved! The Quad City Storm is getting an early jump on raising money for the Hockey Fights Cancer Game on February 1, 2020. Once again, the Quad City Storm is stepping up to make a difference in the community. Known for raising money for their community, the Quad City Storm is giving fundraising a new twist. For years, sports teams have sold names on cancer jerseys to honor those who have fought cancer. Paint The Ice For Veterans With The Storm

Quad City Storm are inviting local folks to honor someone in the military by painting their name on the ice on Tuesday, November 5, from 10am-7pm at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline. The names will remain on the ice through the Storm’s home game on Saturday, November 9. All active or retired military can get $5 tickets for themselves and their family by showing a military ID at the TaxSlayer box office.
