New funding and resources for entrepreneurs and startups are coming to the QC as The New Bohemian Innovation Collaborative, Inc. (NewBoCo) expands. In addition, ISA Ventures, the first multi-stage venture capital studio in Iowa, plans to expand into the QC region by building a local syndicate network of investors to support regional entrepreneurs on both sides of the river. Western Illinois Knoblauch Cafe Opening Today

The Knoblauch Café will open for the Spring 2022 semester Thursday, Feb. 24, and will serve carry-out meals from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. on Thursdays, which can be picked up in the Knoblauch Hall Corporate Kitchen, room 238. Each meal is $8, which includes a beverage and dessert. The meals are organized and run by students in the WIU Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration (RPTA). The McDonough County Health Department, in cooperation with Western Illinois University, will host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic (including boosters) for WIU faculty, staff and students, as well as members of the general public Tuesday, Feb. 22 on the WIU-Macomb campus. Johnson & Johnson, Moderna and Pfizer vaccines will be available at no cost, and an appointment is not needed.
