Western Illinois Student-Run Knoblauch Cafe Provides Unique Learning Experience

The Knoblauch Cafe, a campus restaurant open weekly and run by Western Illinois University students, has reopened for the Spring semester. The cafe offers carry-out meals for $8 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. each Thursday that can be picked up in the Knoblauch Hall Corporate Kitchen, room 238. Each meal includes an entree, a beverage and a dessert. Jill Cassady, instructor of Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration, took over the course in 2010. Western Illinois Knoblauch Cafe Opening Today

The Knoblauch Café will open for the Spring 2022 semester Thursday, Feb. 24, and will serve carry-out meals from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. on Thursdays, which can be picked up in the Knoblauch Hall Corporate Kitchen, room 238. Each meal is $8, which includes a beverage and dessert. The meals are organized and run by students in the WIU Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration (RPTA).
