Pints for Preservation, a party featuring adult beverages thrown for a great cause (as if getting together with friends to drink adult beverages isn’t?) is taking place 5:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20 at Niabi Zoo, 13010 Niabi Zoo Rd, Coal Valley.

It’s a beer and wine tasting, it’s a food tasting, and it’s a way you can help out the zoo with its costs and helping to maintain the animals’ homes while sampling over 50 beverages from:
