Brian Allen No Longer Executive Director Of Quad City Arts
Quad City Arts has announced that Brian Allen is no longer serving as Executive Director of the organization. The Board of Directors thanks Brian for his service and contributions during his time with Quad City Arts and wishes him well in his future endeavors, according to a statement from board president Sam McCullum.
“Brian Allen brought experience in arts administration, education, and community engagement to Quad City Arts. During his time, he worked alongside staff and community partners to support the organization’s core programs and community projects, helping sustain Quad City Arts’ ongoing work across education, public art, and programming,” the statement says. “The Board thanks Brian for his service and for the time and energy he dedicated to advancing the organization’s mission.”
The Board of Directors is committed to ensuring continuity and stability for the organization, its staff, artists, partners, and community. Information regarding interim leadership and the process for selecting the organization’s next Executive Director will be shared in the coming days.
Quad City Arts operations director Ben Morris (who started last summer) is serving as the primary point person during the transition, and the board is beginning the process of recruiting an interim executive director. The interim assignment may be up to one year and will focus on stabilization and operations, McCullum said Thursday.
After 26 months serving as executive director of Davenport’s German American Heritage Center & Museum, Brian Allen was tapped last year to become the new boss at Quad City Arts, succeeding Kevin Maynard, on April 1, 2025.
Quad City Arts remains focused on its mission to enrich the quality of life in the Quad Cities through the arts and looks forward to continuing its programs, partnerships, and services during this transition, the board statement said.
