Be Strong For Becky, an amateur arm wrestling contest and fundraiser for Becky Wren is taking place 4-9 p.m. Saturday at Rock Island’s Bent River Brewing Company.

Amateur Arm Wrestling Contest Fundraiser For Becky Wren Coming To Rock Island Saturday

It has been 17 months since Becky was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. She had an intense and exhausting blood marrow transplant. Afterwards she isolated for 4 months while her immune system tried to rebuild itself.

Unfortunately, the first transplant did not result as hoped. As disappointing as this is, Becky told me, “I can’t be sad~ I have lived my LIFE on my terms and the way I wished.” She is in the process of her second transplant….

Becky has been back and forth to Loyola several times a week for the past several months. This has been not only been incredibly physically and emotionally difficult, but has been financially draining.

We need to gather our friends, OUR TRIBES, together once again to help energize and LIFT UP this amazing woman in her journey of strength…. AND hey, if we make some money to help her out, well, that would be super swell.

It is FREE to attend this tournament—DO not feel bad if you can not give financially!!! WE (mostly Becky!!) want to see YOU ALL there. Consider sending her a card m, a message on fb or other expression of love. AIR HUGS WELCOME. Just remember that it is exhausting going thru treatments and sometimes a phone call is too much.

OFFICIAL ARM WRESTLING tables are being brought in and referees are being trained. There will be official RULES and wrestlers will need to sign a WAIVER.

We will have a ton of baked goods for you to buy! There will be AWESOME ART and EXPERIENCES to bid upon!! Baskets of coolness to buy- good people, awesome vibes AND……. Drum roll…… the big reveal WHOEVER wins the CONTEST gets to MARRY BECKY!!!!!!*

Becky, like Chad, is a river woman~ one of MANY hats she has worn over the years that make her the beautiful spirit she is!
