Alternating Currents Rolling Into The Quad Cities Starting Thursday

Alternating Currents, one of the most popular and unique festivals in the Quad-Cities, will return with dozens of events through multiple cities beginning Thursday and running through the weekend, August 14-17.

The 2025 Alternating Currents Festival will take place from August 14-17 in Davenport, Rock Island, and Bettendorf. This vibrant festival will feature over 200 free performances across 46 venues, including music, film, comedy, and art events. Attendees can enjoy outdoor concerts, live mural painting, indie film premieres, and family-friendly activities.

Unless you’ve ever been, you’ve never seen the Quad Cities electrified in this light. 40+ venues hosting over 200 performances, screenings and arts events surge through Quad Cities downtowns during Alternating Currents. It’s where you’ll find dozens of unique restaurants, shops, bars and more to explore as you move from one venue to the next, just like the flow of the Mississippi’s alternating currents.

For more information and a schedule, see the event website.
