Chef Kyle Verschorre or “Doc V” was born and raised in the Quad Cities, but gives credit to travel and education in Colorado for his unique take on life and food. A graduate of Rock Island High School, “Doc V” attended The Art Institute of Colorado obtaining an Associates of Applied Sciences Culinary and a Bachelors of Culinary Management. A passion for food, people, business, and success lead to an MBA in Marketing from Argosy University Denver, and as of May 2016 a proud recipient of a DBA in Business Management. Chef Kyle has taken on a diverse range of roles as a corporate chef, a pastry chef, personal chef, caterer, and now a chef instructor with Scott Community College Culinary Program. Upon returning to the Quad Cities Chef Kyle helped to create and open a still operating restaurant, has been a guest chef, and has consulted and designed menus for area restaurants. Most important to the “Doc” is being a community activist and promotor of the youth. From feeding the homeless shelter, creating pop up kitchens to feed those in need, or guest speaking with the young minds of our future Chef Kyle is a driving force in this amazingly chaotic foodie world.
