The Karpeles Museum and the Daughters of the American Revolution have combined forces to keep the history of the Quad Cities alive. The War of 1812 was a military conflict that lasted for two and a half years and was fought between the United States of America against United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, its North American colonies and its Native American allies.
