As previously reported on QuadCities.com, owner Theo Grevas had mentioned Oct. 2 as a potential closing date for the quirky and unique spot for coffee, sandwiches, tea and more which has been a haven for a wide variety of folks from creatives to tourists at 213 17th St., Rock Island since 1994. The legendary Theo’s Java Club, a downtown Rock Island favorite for almost three decades, is up for sale. As reported yesterday on the QuadCities.com Instagram and Facebook, owner Theo Grevas, who opened the shop in 1993, announced the move on the business’ Facebook page, posting: “Friends, I am announcing today that Theo’s Java Club Cafe and building are FOR SALE!
