Teen Audiobook Club Starts This Week At Davenport Public Library

Teens (11-19) are invited to join Miss Amber on Tuesdays beginning June 22nd at 2:00 pm in the Fairmount Street Library’s Garden for a new teen audiobook club! This summer we will be listening together to one of 2020’s best-selling and award-winning books, Stamped: Racism, Anti-Racism and You written by Jason Reynolds & Ibram X. Kendi and read by Jason Reynolds. As a group, we will listen to portions of the audiobook and work on quiet projects in the garden including gardening, crafting, and meditating. The annual Teen Anime Day is going virtual! All Teens ages 11-19 are invited to register for a special Teen Anime Day To Go activity kit and to attend a special Zoom party on Saturday, November 21st from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Zoom with the Davenport Public Library, the Figge Art Museum, and special guest, “JAPANNA” anna ito, founder of Japan Shinzen Art and Culture International! Rock Island Library will be hosting a Teen YouTube Challenge Video Night  Tuesday, Feb 20, 5:30 to 7:00 pm, at the Rock Island Downtown Library, 401 19th St. Teens who enter the Quad City wide Teen YouTube Video Challenge could see their work on the big screen at the Putnam. If you need help with your entry, try the Rock Island Public Library’s Teen YouTube Video Challenge night on Tuesday, February 20.
