The Back to School – Bless the Block Event will be held August 13! Get FREE backpacks, face painting, and more at 1925 5th Avenue, Rock Island. While the event is free, the organizers are aiming to fill 250 backpacks with school supplies to support young learners. You can still make a donation and be a part of this wonderful initiative. Rock Island Public Library children’s librarians will continue to show up at our Longview Park Library2Go bookmobile stop from 2:30 to 3:30 pm on Wednesdays in August for Full STEAM Ahead. Muscatine School Orchestras are excited to present the 11th Annual Giles Joslyn Memorial Stringfest! This year, the format will be VERY different, with performances being entirely online, but the spirit of Stringfest remains the same. Students and performers are hard at work prepping for this event. Moline Public Schools Foundation proudly presents MPSF Trivia Night this Saturday Jan 25 at Local Union 25 Plumbers and Pipefitters (4600 46th Avenue Rock Island).
