Rock Island-Milan Schools All Going To Remote Learning Through Jan. 18

The Rock Island-Milan School District is going to Full Remote Learning through January 18, the district just announced. The shift is due to the skyrocketing numbers of covid-19 in the area. The Quad-Cities is the seventh-highest hot spot for new covid cases in the United States. Frustrated With Remote Learning? Rock Island Public Library Can Help!

The Rock Island Public Library Children’s Department continues to ZOOM into entertaining learning online and at home with new and returning events this September. On Wednesday, September 9, the library offers a Virtual Superhero Party from 10:30 am to 11:15 am via its ZOOM meeting software. Ages 5 and under can listen to a book read by Children’s Librarian Ms. Ranell, and then work on crafts and activities together via ZOOM.
