Many famous directors have gotten their start in music videos or had them on their resume, and Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, the local masterminds behind such hits as “A Quiet Place” and “Haunt” are no different. Back in 2012, the duo filmed a video for Vanaprasta’s song “Self Indulgent Feeling,” which features several local landmarks and actors, including Ragged Records and area actors Justin Marxen, Shane Simmons, Travis Shepherd and Scott Morschhauser. March 6th, 2019

Terry started off young, when he was in college, owning bars around the area, and busted his ass most frequently as the owner of O’Meara’s (named after his Mom’s maiden name), before putting his money and his life on the table to buy a little spot called RIBCO when there was... Read More

Ragged Records Top Records of 2016

January 10th, 2017

By Dennis Hockaday 2016 has been quite the bummer of a year for all kinds of reasons. We’ve seen some of the most well respected and talented musicians of our time pass away this cold and dark year BUT we here at Ragged have observed an insurgence of incredible new music. So 2016 hasn’t been all that bad, I guess. Anyway here is a list of new releases, soundtracks, compilations and reissues that we have enjoyed, in no particular order, this year. We hope that you enjoy these titles as much as we did and don’t forget to check out the Spotify Playlist below. To see all of the discs,... Read More
