Metro Offering FREE Bus Rides For K-12 Students This Fall!

In a really, really cool move and some great positive news, kids won’t have to worry about getting rides to and from school and activities this fall! Metro is offering free bus rides to K-12 students on their bus routes. Students need to show their ID for the ride, and as per existing rules, all passengers need to wear a mask on the buses. It’s time to apply for the Thomas K. Evans Memorial Scholarship, a $5,000 award that will help one student pursue higher education in science, technology, engineering or math. Deadline to apply is noon March 1, 2021. Complete information about the scholarship, including application materials and directions, is available online at www.americanpowerinc.com/scholarship.
