Unique Chalk Art Fest Coming to Rock Island

The 6th annual Quad City Arts’ Chalk Art Fest will take place July 16-17, 2022 at Schwiebert Riverfront Park in downtown Rock Island, IL. The festival starts at 10 a.m. and goes till 7pm on Saturday, July 16 and 5pm on Sunday, July 17. This FREE, live outdoor arts festival brings together hundreds of artists that spend hours transforming the cement pavement at Schwiebert Park into a museum of chalk art, while competing for cash prizes. Quad City Arts is pleased to announce Arts Dollars grants for the 2022 cycle. Applications are welcome from individual artists, K-12 schools, and non-profit organizations partnering with artists. All art forms are eligible. Since 1990, Quad City Arts has supported the local art community by awarding more than $1,000,000 in grants to local artists, non-profit organizations, and schools. This year, Quad City Arts has received additional funding from a funder who wishes to remain anonymous to fund Visual Artist Grants.
