Three sessions of facilitated discussions on the root causes of racism will begin Monday at 7 p.m., hosted online by Metropolitan Community Church of the Quad Cities. Join the German American Heritage Center in Davenport February 28th at 2pm to learn about the life and legacy of German American Senator Everett Dirksen. Dirksen was an influential proponent of the Civil Rights Act of 1969 and cited his German heritage as his motivation to provide equal rights to all.
