East Moline Teenager Eli Nache Representing Midwest At National Soccer Tournament

East Moline 13-year-old Eli Nache was among the players selected to represent the Midwest Olympic Development Program regional soccer team at the US Youth Soccer ODP Inter-regional Event being held in Orlando, Fla. Nov. 16-20! Nache, playing the 2 spot at right outside defensive back, was among over 100 players who went through the three-day tryout for the event from a pool of players from the Midwest region including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin. East Moline Silvis Soccer Club Players Selected For Illinois ODP Team

Three players from the East Moline Silvis Soccer Club U12 Spartans have made the final cut for the Illinois State Soccer Team in their age group, and seven players overall from EMSSC made the cut! Eli Nache and Jonas Cortez made the final cut for the state team for 2008, and Junior Garibay made the pool team! Other EMSSC players to make their respective teams include Deontae Nache and Austin VandeGeest, who made the 2006 team, Addi Schatteman, who made the girls 2007 team, and Logan Schaeffer, who made the 2007 team!
