Do you know your muggles from your quidditch? Can you hold your butter beer and your regular beer? Then you might want to ride your broom on in to Boonie’s, 214 Iowa Ave., for Harry Potter Trivia Night at 7 p.m. Friday. Muggles and wizards alike are invited to play Harry Potter Trivia and learn about the second annual Harry Potter festival slated for Friday and Saturday, May 18-19, 2018. Muscatine residents have been getting a different viewpoint on the issues that involve and engage them in a new community access show, Muscatine Viewpoint, which debuted Jan. 25 and runs at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays on public access television, channel 9 and digital channel 709. Harry Potter Fest Magically Appears In Muscatine

A new festival is magically appearing in Muscatine this weekend – the first annual Harry Potter Festival Saturday, April 29, in Muscatine. Patrons will be able to fly in on their brooms to enjoy quidditch tournaments, card games, tailgating, delicacies like butter beer and more at the free event beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Muscatine Community College, 152 Colorado Ave. on the Park Ave. Recreation Field (formerly Heinz Field). MCC Lip Sync Battle The Talk Of The Town This Week

There are few times a professor will be asking for students or other faculty to “mouth off” to him, but Muscatine Community College teacher Chad Bishop is calling out to folks to make that happen as a part of the MCC Mouth OFF. The Mouth OFF is a televised Lip Sync Battle and Bishop is hoping he’ll round up people with enough cheek to use their cheeks to bring the hot air to make him seem like he’s full of hot air in regard to bragging about his lip synching skills.
