Richmond Hill Players cover all the holiday classics in “Every Christmas Story Ever Told”

Richmond Hill Players concludes its 2021 season with the holiday comedy Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and then some), written by John K. Alvarez, Michael Carlton, and James FitzGerald.  It will be presented Thursdays through Sundays, December 2-12 at the Barn Theatre in Geneseo. Richmond Hill in Geneseo Re-Opens Thursday After Over Year and a Half Intermission

It’s been an especially long, hard road to reopening live theater for Geneseo’s Richmond Hill Players and company veteran Jennifer Kingry. She last directed at RHP for “The 39 Steps” in August 2019 and was in the midst of rehearsing the comedy “Becky’s New Car” in March 2020, when Covid-19 shut everything down. Quad-Cities Fathers Share Their Love of the Arts with Their Sons And Daughters

Mark McGinn’s love of the theater is literally in his blood. His father Jack (who died in 2000) started performing at Quad City Music Guild in Moline within two years of its founding in 1949, and was in dozens of shows. Mark, a 67-year-old Bettendorf resident, started with Guild at Prospect Park in 1972, playing clarinet for “Fiddler on the Roof,” and his first stage role was in 1976’s “Jesus Christ Superstar” (as one of the apostles).
