Augustana College is offering a virtual performance of the children’s play “Dragons Love Tacos,” directed by Jackie McCall, on Saturday, April 17. Quad City Playwrights Festival Accepting Submissions For 2021 Online Fest

The Quad City Playwrights’ Festival is now accepting submissions for 2021. The festival will be held virtually this year. Submissions must be an original work, 10-minutes in length, a maximum of 10 pages, authored by one individual who resides in the Quad Cities area or is an Augustana student or graduate. No adaptions or excerpt scripts from larger works will be accepted. Theaters in the Quad-Cities and nationwide are canceling spring and summer shows, due to Covid-19. The latest response to the global pandemic is the Augustana College-based Mississippi Bend Players (MBP), which is shelving its 2020 season. Jackie McCall is in her first year as MBP producing artistic director, and this was to be the fourth season for the professional summer-stock company.
