GAHC Presents 'The White Rose' Virtually

Join the German American Heritage Center & Museum on Sunday May 31 at 2 p.m. for a virtual program presented by Olivia Covert, Development, Volunteer, and Education Coordinator at the GAHC. The White Rose was a non-violent student resistance group in the Third Reich. These University of Munich students stood up to the Nazis, writing and distributing pamphlets that encouraged resistance and rejected Nazi ideals. The German American Heritage Center is shutting down through April 16, extending their closure as per the recommendation of the governor. The museum released the following statement today: The GAHC wants to do our part in “flattening the curve” to help stop the spread of Coronavirus. Davenport’s German American Heritage Center is closing its doors through at least the end of March, due to coronavirus concerns. The museum sent the following release out today: Dear friends, The health and safety of our community and the German American Heritage Center volunteers, members, guests, and staff is our top priority.
