Get an in-depth look at the latest traveling exhibit at the Figge Museum tonight! You can attend a virtual talk at 6:30 p.m. by American artist Ann Gale, who is featured in the traveling exhibit “For America,” through May 16. Gale is known for her complex and expressive oil paintings of individuals. Gale earned her BFA from Rhode Island College and her MFA from Yale University. The Figge Café, featuring the culinary skills of Quad-City native Chef Jason Stewart, will reopen to the public on Thursday, April 22. It’s inside the Figge Art Museum, 225 W. 2nd St., Davenport. Stewart, who is also known as “Chef Stu” and owner of Zeke’s Island Café in Bettendorf, will be introducing a completely updated menu that will launch in conjunction with the Café’s reopening. Quad City Symphony Offers American Tunes at Figge, Will Reopen to Audiences in March at Adler

To help celebrate the blockbuster exhibit “For America,” at the Figge Art Museum, the Quad City Symphony will feature American music in a Signature Series concert at the Figge’s lobby on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m. Up to 50 socially-distanced concertgoers will be allowed in person; the concert will be livestreamed and will be available for viewing for 30 days following the livestream. Let’s face it — Saturday, Feb. 20 will be a big day for museum lovers in the Quad-Cities, as two long-time Davenport institutions open new exhibits. A new original exhibit at the Putnam (1717 W. 12th St.), “Faces of the Past,”  explores portraiture around the world and across time as a reflection of self-identity, popular culture, mythology, and ritual. New College Invitational Art Exhibit Opens Saturday at Figge

Art students from eight area colleges and universities will have their work displayed in the Figge Art Museum’s second-floor Katz Gallery beginning Saturday, Jan. 30 for the 11th annual College Invitational exhibit.
