What better way to get rid of that old Jack O’ Lantern than to bring it to the Family Museum’s Great Pumpkin Drop! Bring your pumpkin before 10:50 AM on Saturday, November 4, and at 11:00 AM Family Museum staff will begin dropping pumpkins from the Great Hall balcony down to the floor. This messy presentation is over when there are no more pumpkins to drop. This event is included with general admission and is free for Family Museum members. The Rotary Club of Bettendorf has created an educational outdoor space, Rotary Row, at Faye’s Field with the support and assistance of their project partners: the Bettendorf Park Board, the Bettendorf Public Library Foundation Board, the Family Museum Foundation Board, and Bettendorf City Council. The row is located at Faye’s Field, 2850 Learning Campus Drive, Bettendorf. The Family Museum in Bettendorf is bringing back that euphoric feeling with their one night event, The Kids’ Table: A Grown Up Helping. Doc McStuffins: The Exhibit opens this week and will be housed at the Family Museum in Bettendorf, Iowa through May 14.  The bilingual (English/Spanish) interactive exhibit, based on the Peabody Award-winning Disney Junior series “Doc McStuffins,” was produced by and previously housed at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, and will continue to travel to other museums around the country until 2019. On Saturday, March 4, from 6:30 – 10:00 pm, the Family Museum will host “The Kids’ Table: A Grown-Up Helping,” an exclusive, one-night fundraising event for grown-ups featuring gourmet twists on classic kid food composed and prepared by local chefs and businesses. This event will offer guests a chance to take a trip down memory lane through food, games, and entertainment.
