Support Available For Households Previously Living At 324 Main Street in Davenport

Each household that lived at 324 Main Street in downtown Davenport is now eligible for a total of $3,500 in financial assistance from the Quad Cities Disaster Recovery Fund at the Quad Cities Community Foundation. The fund was activated after the partial building collapse earlier this summer. Black Hawk College Hosting Mockingbird’s “The Glass Menagerie”

The Mockingbird on Main will present Tennessee Williams’ classic memory play, “The Glass Menagerie,” at the Black Hawk College Quad-Cities Campus on July 7-8 and July 13-15. The Mockingbird on Main’s theatre was located on the first floor of the building that collapsed May 28 in Davenport, Iowa. The 40-seat theatre has been closed since the collapse, and as the building has been torn down, The Mockingbird is in search of a new home. BHC alum Tristan Tapscott and his wife, Savannah Strandin, started The Mockingbird on Main in 2021 as an arts incubator and performance space for the Quad Cities.... Read More

Project NOW Aiding People Affected By Building Collapse In Davenport

Project NOW is joining forces with other Illinois not-for-profits to aid those affected by the building collapse in Davenport. Project NOW will serve as a collection place for non-perishable food, new clothing, hygiene products, furniture, mattresses, etc.  Items can be dropped at its 418 19th Avenue Rock Island location for the next month.  Items can be dropped off between the hours of 7 am and 6 pm.
