Countryside Community Theatre Cancels Summer Shows

Countryside Community Theatre has joined the host of area venues canceling their summer slate due to concerns about covid-19. The Eldridge-based group released the following statement on Facebook today: We are sad to announce that our Summer 2020 shows, The Music Man and The Fantasticks, will not be happening this summer due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. The health and safety of our performers, stage crew, musicians, patrons, and volunteers are of the utmost importance to us, and we know that this is the right decision for Countryside Community Theatre. ’39 Steps’ Stepping Into Countryside

Countryside is stepping into a new show May 10 — “39 Steps.” Based on the 1935 movie by Alfred Hitchcock, the frenetic comedy The 39 Steps will be the first spring play Countryside Community Theatre will have ever produced. CCT ‘Christmas Carol’ Auditions Coming Sunday

Countryside Community Theatre will hold auditions for the holiday classic, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, onSunday September 23. Based on the Charles Dickens classic, A CHRISTMAS CAROL tells the tale of  the curmudgeonly Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited by the ghosts of Christmases Past, Present and Future hoping to change his destiny and save his soul. CCT’s ‘Godspell’ Behind The Scenes

Want a peek behind-the-scenes at Countryside Community Theater’s “Godspell?” The musical continues with shows this weekend, 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at North Scott High School auditorium in Eldridge. The cast features newcomer Drake Mason as Jesus and Quad City staples Nate Karstens (John the Baptist/Judas), Sara Diericx and Cindy Ramos.
