Her thirst for life and shining personality will leave a lasting impression on anyone she crosses paths with. Lorelei Christine Lovelady, daughter of John and Megan Lovelady (East Moline), was diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic disease called Primary Hyperoxaluria Type 1 on February 28, 2017, at the age of just 6 months old. One of the Putnam Museum’s (1717 W 12th St. Davenport) most fun blood drives, Donor & A Movie, takes place this Friday Nov 23 and Saturday Nov 24 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. both days. Whether you are a first-time donor or a frequent donor, the need for blood is constant and you will feel good knowing your donation can help save up to 3 lives. The Rock Island Public Library’s Downtown location will host the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center’s Mobile Donor Bus on Wednesday, August 9. Blood donations will be taken from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm in the bus parked at the library’s 19th Street entrance.
