Through Sunday, January 24, the Bettendorf Public Library is hosting exclusive access to Community Connections: Betty Crocker – Her Cookbook That Changed How America Cooks. The presentation will feature Leslie Goddard, Ph.D. as she highlights the history of Betty Crocker and her famous Picture Cook Book. The Bettendorf Public Library is hosting a virtual event tailored for job seekers on Thursday, January 21st at 6:00 PM. The Coordinator of Career Planning and Placement at Black Hawk College, Angela Striegel will share information and tips to improve job searching techniques. Bettendorf Public Library’s Take Home Workshop to offer opportunity to personalize home decorations

Those looking to add a personal touch to their holiday decorations can craft along with the Bettendorf Public Library to create an origami wreath appropriate for any holiday or special occasion. Starting on Thursday, December 17, free supply kits for the Take Home Workshop: 16-point Origami Star Wreath will be available for pick-up at the Library located at 2950 Learning Campus Dr. in Bettendorf. The Bettendorf Public Library is offering tickets to a time-traveling presidential event. From October 19th through October 25th, the Library will offer admission to a virtual edition of Community Connections: The Political Lincoln: Honest Abe on Campaigns & Elections. Families Invited To Paint The Lot At The Family Museum This Weekend

Families of all artistic abilities are invited to “Paint the Lot” at the Family Museum on Saturday, October 3. The event will run 7:30 am – 3:30 pm. Cost is $50 per parking spot and participants must be registered prior to event. All proceeds will go to the Family Museum Foundation. The Museum held its first Paint the Lot event in 2017 as a fundraiser for its 20th anniversary. Families painted original designs that have withstood many Iowa winters and summers. Bettendorf Public Library Commemorates 19th Amendment anniversary with live Canton Visit

In recognition of the centennial anniversary of the 19th Amendment, the Bettendorf Public Library will be hosting a historical performance on August 26th at 7:00 PM. Historian Laura F. Keyes will perform as suffragist Elizabeth Cady Stanton in a live virtual presentation. The performance is free thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Bettendorf Public Library.
