Shawn Loter from the Mississippi Valley Fair appeared at a news conference at the fairgrounds carried live on Facebook and the QuadCities.com Facebook. We have the press conference in its entirety here. Initially, we had been hearing the fair was going online and would be a virtual event, but we were surprised to discover that despite what we had heard about the grandstand acts being canceled (which turned out to be true), the fair will continue to go on, albeit in a downsized fashion.
