North Scott, United Township and Rock Island Soccer - Sun, 15 Apr 2018
WQAD Sportscast for April 14, 2018. North Scott beats Orion-Sherrard Soccer 3-0.  Rylie Rucker scores the first goal in the 40th minute. United Township host an 8-team soccer invitational, the Panthers would win three games scoring 17 goals and allowing only one en route to winning the championship. Rock island and davenport Central soccer played each other at the united Township Soccer Invite.  there game would go to penalty kicks before the Lady Rocks would win 1-0.

Rock Island Girls  Track Invite. Harlem wins the team title, Geneseo is the top local finisher. Several local track athletes win top honors in their races and field events. Alleman traves across the river to face Bettendorf in Soccer. Bulldogs get a goal in the 6th minute to beat the Pioneers 1-0. Former Moline Track star is now a World Champion - Thu, 12 Apr 2018
Aisha Praught captured her first World Championship winning the 3000 meter Steeplechase at the Common Wealth Games in Australia.  Praught who was running second for most of the race had a big kick in the home stretch to cross the line first with a time of 9:21.  Praught graduated from Moline high School, then went to Illinois State to run track. Augustana’s Paul Olsen has been the face of Augustana  track for over 5 decades.  The legendary head coach leaves will retire after this season, but takes with him countless memories.   Over the year Olsen has “tracked” the memories with picture after picture.  Each picture hanging in his office has a different story that will last forever.
