MACOMB/Moline, IL — On Monday-Tuesday, March 29-30, the Higher Learning Commission, which is Western Illinois University’s comprehensive accrediting body, will be at the University (virtually) for the WIU’s 10-year accreditation review.

Western Illinois University HLC Forums Set March 29-30

WIU has had a Quad-Cities presence since 1912, and before moving to River Drive in Moline, was at 60th Street off John Deere Road.

As part of the process, the review team will hold open meetings for, and multiple forums with, faculty, staff, students and others interested in participating. Each of these forums will concern a particular aspect of the University’s Assurance Argument, which can be found at wiu.edu/aasp/accreditation/review.php.

The meetings and forums will be held at the following times:

Monday, March 29, 10:15-11:15 a.m,: Meeting for full-time faculty

Monday, March 29, 10:15-11:15 a.m.: Meeting for students

Monday, March 29, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Open Forum on Criterion 5

Monday, March 29, 1:30-2:15 p.m.: Open Forum on Criteria 1 & 2

Tuesday, March 30, 8:30-9:15 a.m.: Open Session

Tuesday, March 30, 9:30-10:15 a.m.: Open Forum on Criteria 3 & 4

As the HLC requires attendee names, individuals must register to participate. After registering, individuals will receive an email confirmation with the Zoom meeting link.
