Davenport RiverCenter to Host Valentine’s Comedy Show on Feb. 13

Celebrate Valentine’s Day weekend with the “Love and Laughter Comedy Show” featuring Chico Bean on Saturday, Feb. 13, at the RiverCenter in Davenport (136 E. 3rd St.). Doors will open at 7 p.m. and show will start at 8 p.m.

Comedian Chico Bean will headline a night of love and laughter Feb. 13 at the RiverCenter.

Chico Bean is best known as a cast member of the improv comedy show “Wild ‘N Out” and the podcast “85 South Show.” Anthony Jamal Bean, better known as Chico Bean is an actor, singer, writer, rapper, and producer best known for being one of the recurring cast members since Season 5 of the improv comedy show Wild ‘N Out on MTV, VH1 and MTV2.

He is also known for creating and starring in “The Freestyle Funny Comedy Show” alongside former cast members Darren Brand and B-Daht.

Special guests at the RiverCenter date include Steve Brown, Blaq Ron, Maurice G and QC Keen. Music by DJ Captain and DJ Chuck.

Tickets ($32 & $52) are on sale now in person at the Adler Theatre Box Office (Tuesdays & Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and at Ticketmaster.com. To purchase table seating, call D Jay’s Fashion at 563-505-6271.

This is a socially distanced event. Tickets are sold in pods of four. Guests must purchase all seats within a selected pod. Pods will be spaced at least 6 feet apart. Face coverings must be worn at all times. Guests may remove face coverings only if actively eating or drinking while seated at a table.

Jonathan Turner -- who has called the Quad Cities home since 1995 -- has decades of experience as a professional journalist and pianist. His experience writing for daily newspapers, public radio and local TV encompasses a wide range of subjects, including the arts, politics, education, economic development, historic preservation, business, and tourism.
