About the Quad Cities
Five connected cities along the Mississippi, with Iowa on one bank and Illinois on the other.
Davenport and Bettendorf sit on the Iowa side of the river. Across the water, Rock Island, Moline and East Moline each bring their own downtowns, neighborhoods and places to gather. Bridges connect them, and riverfront paths give residents and visitors another way to experience the region.
The name has stayed even as the region has grown beyond four cities. Together, these communities offer museums, performances, parks and local businesses within a short trip of one another. The city guides below take a closer look at each place; the figures here describe the wider metropolitan area.
