How do you plan to celebrate this year’s Harvest Moon? How about a day filled with music, food and fun?

The Dan Nagle Walnut Grove Pioneer Village is celebrating the Harvest Moon on Sunday Oct 1 from 1-5 p.m. (gates open at noon) and you’re invited! The 4th Annual Pioneer Village Harvest Moon Song & Dance Fest will be featuring 100 years of Rural American Music.

Admission is $6 for adults, $3 for children and under 5 are free.

Rain or shine, traditional Bluegrass, Fiddle, Banjo, Folk and Country music will be celebrated throughout this Harvest Moon festival. Five bands will be providing live music for all to enjoy. Come out to hear the magical renditions of music from the past 100 years from The Prairie Fiddle, River Bottom Rascals, Pigs & Clover, Wes Wells and Stacy Webster.

Food from Big Dave & Holly’s of LeClaire, Iowa’s Finest Kettle Korn, Long Grove and the Village Soda Fountain will all be available to purchase. Or you can bring your own picnic lunch to enjoy. Don’t forget the lawn chairs!
