Bacon lovers unite! Bacon Fest 2017 is here!

That’s right, the 3rd Annual Bacon Fest will be held on Friday Aug 11 from 5-9 p.m. in the Public Square (center of Broadway and Main) in Monmouth! There is no admission cost to enter.

Food vendors will be on site with the most amazing bacon-filled dishes you can imagine. Each vendor will have samples of their signature dishes available for the low cost of $3. These dishes could be anything from Bacon-Brat Burgers and Bacon Wrapped Shrimp to Bacon Candy and Bacon Brittle! From 6-6:30 p.m. voting will be open for the People’s Choice award. Make sure to get there early and vote!

The Bacon Eating Contest will start at 7 p.m. Witness the brave souls consuming an entire pound of bacon the fastest, in order to win free bacon for a year! Red Hot Brian Scott will be MCing the contest.

Live music will be also be available for your listening pleasure. From 5-7 p.m. the Corn Wolves (with members from JammSammich) will be on stage. Soul Storm will be taking over from 7:30-9:30 p.m.

The Kid’s Corner will provide games, activities and inflatables. Mo Mallard and the Ice Girls will be making an appearance. Don’t miss out on the mechanical bull, as well!

Tickets will be available for adult beverages. All food and beverage sales are cash-only. ID’s will be required to purchase adult beverage tickets.

Bacon, bands and beer. No other combination could create such a rewarding Friday night! Don’t miss out!
