Movies In The Park Opens In VanderveerWith summer right around the corner, it has become more difficult to stay indoors on the weekends. But family movie night is so rewarding, as well. Now you can combine the two!

On Friday May 26, the Friends of Vander Veer and Davenport Parks and Recreation will be hosting this year’s first Movies in the Park night, with the movie ‘Trolls’! The movie will be shown at Vander Veer Park (215 W Central Park Ave Davenport) near the fountain on a portable screen.

Admission is FREE to this event! Blankets and lawn chairs are highly recommended, and the movie will begin at sunset. Friends of Vander Veer will have snacks for sale and food trucks will also be on-site. Don’t worry about being too early, because the Parks staff will be also providing games before the movie starts.

In the event of rain, the movie will unfortunately be cancelled. Cancellations will be made by 3 p.m. on the day of. Make sure to stay up to date on the Facebook event page at: https://www.facebook.com/events/394617357561330.
