Princeton Summer Fest Shining Down This WeekendThe 2017 Princeton Summer Fest is upon us! Get ready to have some fun!

The mission of the Princeton Summer Fest is to promote pride in the city, to give financially to all non-profit organizations in the city, beautifying the downtown areas, parks and neighborhood areas and to promote and support all local businesses.

This year the festival will take place on Friday and Saturday July 21-22. Here is the line-up of events:

Friday July 21

4 p.m.                                        Down by the Creek Animal Rescue (Princeton Library)

5:30 p.m.                                Kids’ Fun Run

5 p.m. – Midnight              Vendors Open

6-8 p.m.                                   Live Band- Vanerveer (Clay Street)

7-11 p.m.                                Live Band- Bad Hair (Go Fish Marina Bar & Grill, lower level)

 

Saturday July 22

6-10 a.m.                                 Breakfast at Boll’s Community Center

8 a.m. – 3 p.m.                     Car Show (River Drive)

10 a.m. – 8 p.m.                                    Information Booth Open

10 a.m.                                     Parade Sign-Up, Bike Decorating and Line-Up

11 a.m.                                     Parade begins (Virgil Grissom Elementary)

12-1 p.m.                                Happy Joe’s Pizza and Bake Sale at Boll’s Community Center

12-3 p.m.                                Inside Kids’ Games at Boll’s Community Center

12-4 p.m.                                Outside Kids’ Activities

Street Painting, Pony Rides, Sand Treasure Hunt, Bounce House, Rocket Bob, Face Painting, Dunk Tank and more!

1 p.m.                                        Backwater Gamblers Ski Show (Riverfront)

1-4:30 p.m.                            Bingo at Boll’s Community Center

1:30 p.m.                                Kids’ Tractor Pull (Near Princeton Ale House)

3 p.m.                                        Car Show Awards (River Drive)

3:30-5 p.m.                            Talent Show (Boat Ramp Stage)

5-7 p.m.                                   Pulled Pork Dinner at Boll’s Community Center

5-8 p.m.                                   Live Band- Stonecold Moonshine (Go Fish Marina, lower level)

7 p.m.                                        Bags Tournament Begins at Boll’s Community Center

8-11 p.m.                                Live Band- 3 on the Tree (Boat Ramp Stage)

8-11 p.m.                                Live Band- Nuclear Plow Boys (Clay Street)

Dusk                                           Fireworks over the Mississippi River
