The film A Quiet Place debuted April 6, 2018, to critical acclaim and commercial success, earning over $50 million on its opening weekend alone, and scoring a 95% approval rating on the movie review website Rotten Tomatoes. The screenplay was co-written by three filmmakers, including two natives of Bettendorf, Iowa: Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, who also served as executive producers. The third screenwriter is John Krasinski, who also directed and stars in the movie.
