The Office of Human Resources at Western Illinois University has made some changes to improve efficiencies and to better serve the WIU community.

Human Resources are now located in Sherman Hall 105 and Sherman Hall 103 (former transfer admissions office), with testing now located in Sherman 103 (from the basement area). In addition, Human Resources is moving to a talent acquisition and talent development model of operations. Amelia Hartnett is serving as the director for talent acquisition (recruitment of new employees, etc), while Terri McHugh is serving as the talent development supervisor for new and current employees.

Undergraduate student employment is led by Julie Derry, with Haley Dixon overseeing academic and administrative contracts. Search team support, which includes Interview Exchange and position advertising, is directed by Pam Francis, with civil Service employment supervised by Tammy Irwin. Performance management and training, along with orientation, is led by Alyssa Eddington, with benefits and workers compensation led by Krista Hayes and classification/compensation, including audits, led by Carrie Kessler. Marie Reed provides office support.

Bruce Western currently serves as the interim Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO); a search is currently underway for a permanent CHRO.
