Apple And Pork Festival Ready To Sizzle

Looking for a family friendly activity this weekend that will provide fun for all? Then head to the Apple ‘n Pork Festival!

This annual festival has been held the last weekend of September at the C.H. Moore Homestead Dewitt Co. Museum, since 1968! While the first festival consisted of a kettle of soup and stack of sandwiches, the Apple ‘n Pork Festival has grown and become one of Central Illinois’ largest and most-attended fall festival!

The 49^th Annual Apple ‘n Pork Festival will be happening from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday Sep 23 and Sunday Sep 24 on the C.H. Moore Homestead Dewitt Co. Museum grounds, located at 219 E Woodlawn Clinton, Illinois. Admission to the festival is free!

This unique harvest festival features more than 25 food stands offering numerous old-fashioned food items (including pork and apples, of course!), a juried art show, 19th century craft demonstrations and sales, an antique tractor show, live musical entertainment, meal grinding, rope-making, woodcarving and blacksmith demonstrations, Civil War living history camp, tomahawk throwing, pony rides, farm museum displays, children’s miniature train rides, a large flea market with over 250 dealers and much more!

The Victorian Mansion will also be open for tours from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. both days. Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for ages 12-18 and children 11 and under are free.
