Build a Cat Castle is clawing its way in 5:30 to 7:30 pm, Wednesday, December 4, at Rock Island Downtown Library! Your cat is already king (or queen) of the castle. Time to build him or her a structure worthy for feline royalty. Our Cat Castle event comes just in time for holiday gift giving! Hug A Book At Rock Island Library Next Week!

Parents and caregivers can create some memories while they build a reader at Hug-A-Book: Create, a free event for two-to-five-year-olds and their families on Tuesday, August 27 at the Rock Island Public Library. The event is part of the library’s ongoing Hug-A-Book early learning programming. Families may drop in to try a variety of creatively messy art projects from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm on August 27 at the Downtown Library, 401 19th Street. While the kids are back in school, the Rock Island Public Library has some great options to help keep adults of all ages keep learning their whole lives. The Rock Island Library continues an out-of-this world summer by hosting two bands from the United States Naval Station Great Lakes as part of a mid-summer celebration at the Downtown Library, 401 19th Street. The Rock Island Library continues its summer of space with a view of the stars at the John Deere Planetarium at Augustana College on June 17.
